Yael Vishnizki-Levi – (b. 1988 New York, NY) is an artist, curator, filmmaker and educator. Yael holds a BFA (cum laude) from Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, Israel. She also studied at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York and at the Tel-Aviv University. As an artist, Yael exhibits her work internationally including at the Wrocław Contemporary Museum and Arad Contemporary Art Center, Warsaw Biennale, Arad Contemporary Art Center among others. She participated in many artist-in-residence programs including at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw, the Wschodnia Gallery in Łódz, Poland, the Nida Art Colony in Nida, Lithuania and the Arad Art&Architecture in Arad, Israel. As a curator, she has collaborated with institutions including the Center of Culture in Lublin and Binyamin Gallery in Tel-Aviv. As an educator, Yael has experience in teaching both in Israel and in Poland. She taught Art History in Hebrew and English (for primary and middle schools), ESL (for primary school level) and Hebrew (all levels) as well as Arts and crafts and Drama (for primary and middle schools). Yael is the founder of Artours Warsaw, a platform that provides contemporary art study visits in Warsaw. Currently she writes her MA thesis at Artes-Liberales, Warsaw University about the photographic collection of the first Jewish museum in Berlin in which she researches at the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw since 2017.
